I Want to be a Pilot

PublishingPageContent

'I want to be a pilot!' This is what many of the Acacia Ridge State School Graduating Year 6 students were heard saying during their Archerfield Airport visit celebrating their final year of Primary school.

The visit was the first activity in the new Partnership between Archerfield Airport and Acacia Ridge SS.

During the visit the Graduating Year 6 students were treated to a Bus tour of the Archerfield Airport including a drive down the main runway.

After a simple ceremony in the Terminal the students enjoyed their Graduation Lunch on the lawn, coinciding with Hanger tours provided by the crew at Flight Standards.

Reciprocal Partnership

This activity was a great start to a Partnership between Archerfield Airport and Acacia Ridge State School. The Airport provides our children with highly engaging local community learning stimulus. At the same time children gain exposure to the many career options available within aviation.

We are looking forward to many Partnership activities in 2024.
