Our Unique School and Community
Acacia Ridge State School is school that has a unique connection with the community, its past and its future.
The Acacia Ridge community has a strong connection with our First Nations Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Acacia Ridge SS enrolment reflects this with 15% of students identifying as being First Nations.
Acacia Ridge SS is over 150 years old and has been located on 3 different campuses during its history. The current campus was formerly Acacia Ridge State High School. The primary school has been located here since the 1990s. Being the 25th school opened in Queensland, Acacia Ridge SS is also strongly connected to the more recent European history of the area.
In more recent times Acacia Ridge has seen a large number of families immigrating to Australia to initially settle here. This is also reflected in our multi-cultural enrolment with over 44 cultures identified.
Uniquely, we have a community comprising the oldest and newest Australians co-existing to learn, grow and succeed.
